The two test versions that are closely related foundations for Net-based applications, have been introduced by Adobe Labs on Monday, namely The Flash Player 10.1 and AIR 2.0 (Adobe Integrated Runtime). Both the versions play a substantial role for getting Adobe’s endeavor to stay ahead of the gradually broadening feature set of HTML and the other related Web standards.

The Flash Player 10.1 aims to bring the streaming video, the extra-ordinary interactive graphics and the various games to the browsers all at one place; whereas the AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) with the built-in Flash forms the foundation or the base for so many desktop applications the user mainly looks for.

This remarkable Flash Player does not support only Windows, Linux and Mac OS X computers, but it offers an extended support to even the various range of Smartphones in spite of the support that is not yet built-in. The noticeable feature it possesses is the hardware-based decoding it does of the popular H.264 video format which claims to enhance the overall performance of the system and which in turn promises to save the battery life to a large extent. The HTTP streaming linked with the Adobe’s content protection technology is also supported by the Flash player 10.1.

The AIR version 2.0 that most importantly includes Flash Player 10.1, brings about a more comprehensive customization and the integration with the desktop computers. Adobe has reportedly said that the final version of the Adobe Integrated Runtime 2 will be released by the first half of 2010.
