Bing Information Design has filed a lawsuit against the Internet Biggie Microsoft Bing stating that they cause confusion with regard to the relationship between that plaintiff and the defendant, confusing public with regard to origin of the plaintiff’s services and dilutes the value of the plaintiff’s trademark.
The Lawsuit also states that Microsoft was aware of the St Louis Bing and therefore Bing deserves Actual and Punitive damages compensation from Microsoft. Thus if Bing wins the Lawsuit, Microsoft will have to pay for corrective advertising to remedy the confusion it caused with St.Louis Bing.
In fact Bing is an information website mainly aimed at converting tough and hard to define concepts into simple and easy to understand format. The present scenario can be metaphorically compared to the story of a small fish in a big pond. As Microsoft has been around for a long time before Bing Informatica was even conceptualized. The Past 25 years have seen Microsoft design, illustration, branding, information architecture and publishing.
