Nexus –One is only few days old and Android is already shifting gears.Google has brought forward a software development kit for Android 2.1. This is available for download by mobile phone companies and developers.
According to Google it is only a minor platform update., including some API changes and some known bug fixes. Those who are keen to have a look inside Android can do so by downloading the SDK, which has a full Android library and system image. The SDK is available from Android’s website.
One of many updates in the SDK is providing the ability to display device’s network signals. The new API also has a scope for developers who would want to design animated wallpapers up to screen resolution of 480×854 pixels.
If you didn’t know this, Google’s Nexus One is the first device ever to come packed with a 2.1 Android version. All the previous Android phones had an older platform. The new SDK will help all update to the latest platform.
