If you ever afforded a thought that Google’s Nexus One and HTC has pipped Apple Iphone out of the top-contender race here is a gentle reminder- 100,000 Iphones sold in just a week by a single operator in UK. . Orange for example sold 30,000 units on the day of launch. One has to keep in mind the fact that Iphone was initially launched two years ago with O2 in UK. This is first time apple has allowed Vodafone to sell Iphone. Vodafone is the fourth network after o2, Tesco, and Orangeto be allowed the privilege by Apple.
Vodafone’s UK, CEO Guy Laurence, declared in a statement that “The demand from both consumer and business customers has been phenomenal. They want an outstanding phone on an outstanding network and we’re delivering that.”
